Bill Laurie is the sole owner / operator of Pier Community Funeral Home which was established in Jan. 2008. Bill took his funeral director course at Kings Tec in Kentville, Nova Scotia when he decided to move back to Nova Scotia after living in London, Ontario for most of his life. When asked why he chose the Pier to start his business he answered, "because of the wide range of ethnic culture in this small community and how well everyone gets along." Bill uses doves in his ceremonies which he raises himself. The doves mean love, peace & new beginnings.
