Pier Deli And Restaurant

Patty Melnick was born in Whitney Pier then moved to Ontario.  Thirteen years later she returned.  On Valentine’s Day, 1994, during a blinding snow storm, the Pier Deli & Restaurant was born.  With just an OPEN sign in the window, sales that day were just over $130.00.

Six years later, Patty had to close the deli due to her husband’s health.  After a four year absence, the Pier Deli & Restaurant was re-born featuring the Island’s Best Montreal Smoked Meat & Rueben sandwiches.  The Deli is also home to the Whitney Pier Staple, West Indian Hot Sauce.
