The African Nova Scotian Employment Centre was opened in the early 1970's. Karen Green MacIver is the Executive Director. The operation was under different names through the years but still was related to employment services. They are a Community based development organization to assist African Nova Scotian's through employment, training, economic, cultural and social opportunities. ANSEC is for all people regardless of colour or race. They offer employment counseling, career counseling, job search, resume writing, cover letters, portfolio's, internet access, access to Service Canada programs & services, job referrals, employment maintenance, referral to community agencies and daily job postings. Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
