The Whitney Pier Youth Club was started in 1994 and was directed by Gordie Gosse for ten years. Then, Chester Borden, who was a Student Support Worker for the Cape Breton-Victoria School Board for seven years, decided he wanted to give back to his community, Whitney Pier. It looks like an ordinary building but when you step inside, it's like coming home. It's like one big, happy family with youth from different age groups and ethnic backgrounds. The Youth Club is celebrating their 15th Anniversary. Hours of operation: Monday – Friday: 9am to 8pm (closed between 5-6pm)
